While cruising this past summer we had to run our blower allot to keep the fumes down in the cabin of our Catalina 38 a 1979 we have the freshwater cooling and the distance is maybe 15ft to the exhaust. The fumes seem to come out of the oil fill as well as allot from the breather tube in on the fire arrestor which we keep clean.I was thinking about venting the oil fill and the crank case vent out of the boat. I will try Indigos vent as well.I am not sure about the compression but the engine runs like a top except for the spark which dies every three months and needs new points ect.
