I have had a mechanic take a look and he thinks it is a valve or piston ring problem. I ran the engine under load at the dock and checked my exhaust pipe the leads to the water lift muffler ..no sign of a leak...however after about 10 minutes the breather pipe started to show small amounts of smoke puffing out...Hot oily stink. The mechanic thinks there is a compression problem so he did a test and guess what...low compression in two cylinders...could be rings or valves...so he will next take of the head gasket.....here comes trouble! I love my boat so hope this works....Pete
