Gee Fred: every body else whines because it won't start. Really it is probably a bad ignition switch. If it is on all the time it can burn your points, overheat your coil and if you have electronic ignition destroy it. Is this a new problem? did you inherit it? If your boat was posessed when you bought it I can send you a wiring diagram if the switch checks out OK.
