Mine turned out to be a bad oil pressure safety switch which would cut out the power to the fuel pump after a few seconds. Also, the original siwch on my A-4 (1981 Catalina 27) was plastic which was slowly dripping oil, replaced it with all metal switch from the local auto parts store and have never had a problem since.
If you are SURE you have oil pressure you can temporarily jumper the wire from the pressure switch to see if the engine runs - if it does you found your problem.
