See Will's comments re water in gas. You'll know if you have water in the oil. Pull out the dipstick and it will be coated with anything ranging from dirty milk to mayonnaise, depending on the amount of oil. The most likely causes of oil in the water are: 1. turning engine over without the engine starting (water gets into cylinders via backflow from exhaust) such as when engine starts hard or compression testing 2. leak in head or manifold somewhere. If #1 is problem, just keep changing the oil until it clears-- may take 5,6 or more oil changes (oil is cheap, engines are expensive)
