OK, here's a topic I can sink my teeth into. I too rebuilt the trusty A4 in my Ericson 35 and it runs like a champ. The last item left on the list has been the alternator. One day while skulking around on EBAY I came across this:

It was an Arco 60025 alternator listed as a replacement for the MANDO alternator. I called them up to be sure in Florida and after a confirmation that it would work and fit the A4 bid on the thing and stole it for some 34.00 (or something like that.

Installation was a snap, and it works great. Rated at 55 amps, it's just what was needed to get up and running.
